I say keep our eyes on the real enemy==they guys who kill out of blood lust and joy--al quaeda, salafists, wahabis, saudis. Iran can be checked like we checked soviets and chinese. They might not be sweetness or light but they are not suicidal. If we can deal with North Korea, we can deal with iran But we can't deal with North Korea. They renege on all their agreements. I don't know what the Israelis found in Syria, but the Administration does, and I'm willing to bet it has put a very serious crimp in the current talks with North Korea. Maybe they decided by give up their plutonium bomb program by selling it to Syria? As for Iran being suicidal, Ahmedinijad certainly talks like they are, and their currents style is anything but prudent. Remember Ahmedinijad used to be a trainer for the Basiji Brigades, he send young boys out to clear mine fields with their bodies. This may not be suicidal, but it puts a very low value on human life.

I can't understand why people think the American "left" would pander to an ultra conservative religious leader like Ahmadinejad. I think American conservatives need to ask why they are against conservative values of Islam, notwithstanding some extremists that want to force their religion on everyone else but realizing that this is not unique to Islam. To me this is the ultimate hypocrisy. The neo-conservatives in the US shoud applaud the law and order conservative societies of Islam, in particuar Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore etc where free enterprise is abundant, people are happily enjoying life free of the fear of gangs and drug dealers like they have in the USA etc etc. So the question is....are any of the political parties in America really conservative? I think not. Speaking of the guys who kill out of blood lust...... informationclearinghouse.info
