Jeepers Nadine...what about his affect on the US public...would you say it was not a public relations defeat for him.

Saying No and using the example if iranian state TV is silly...what else would you expect of them.

Fact is he came away with little or no credibility...and that is to our benefit.

So what? Are you really that petty? Don't you think people can get their information from the web? Please tell us what are you afraid of? Are afraid that he told the truth what you have been lying about?

"Iranian State TV just reported that he spoke to several standing ovations. No mention of the questions at all. As if any sane person could have expected it."

I will take your word for that. I'm a bit more optimistic about how that could be interpreted as propoganda by the Iranian people.

1. Iranian people are more likely to filter state news than you suggest. They have other sources of information and have learned to check it against the official sources for balance and accuracy.

2. If the Iranian people believed that report it seems they would be likely to interpret it as a friendly response from the American people, which might lessen the likelyhood of seeing more of those 'down with America' posters in the military parades and less fears on our side of falling nukes.

"No mention of the questions at all. As if any sane person could have expected it."

The questions were insulting, belittling, hostile, and provoking. If our president were treated that way in another country, and it were exploited by the media, it would inflame patriotic people in America. I sometimes get the feeling, you would rather see an inflamed and hostile Iranian public than a friendly and cooperative one ... is that right?
