<"New Zealand has gone on record as voicing its concern about his statements on the Holocaust and wiping out Israel.">

Would NZ support gaoling him the way Irving was gaoled? If not, then they should back Irving and should NOT ban him coming to New Zealand.

New Zealand - hypocrisy.

I would like some of that control in New Zealand <The upside of such a controlled society with deep religious convictions - devout Shia pray three times a day to Allah - is that teeming Tehran, with a population of 13 million, is possibly the world's safest large city. >

Places with megalomaniacs on top tend to be pleasant for those who keep their head down and toe the line. Not even megalomaniacs - just strong control of any disruptive behaviour [Singapore, Japan, Antwer - all controlled and pleasant]. Unfortunately, they seem unable to differentiate between joie de vivre and antisocial aggression.
