Thank You For Your Enthusiastic Response !! In Less Than 72 Hours Over 10,000 People Signed the “Stop Ahmadinejad” Petition !! In less than 72 hours, over 10,000 of you signed our petition demanding that Columbia University President Lee Bollinger reverse his decision allowing Iranian President Ahmadinejad to speak. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! And while President Bollinger did not heed our voices, or the voices of tens of thousands of other Americans who protested his decision, we succeeded in other ways. We sent a loud and clear message, a message I know was heard both by Columbia University and the media. When we received an email from an outraged Columbia alumnus who said “not a penny” of his philanthropic giving would go to his alma mater, I knew this petition drive would be successful, even if President Bollinger did not reverse his decision. And I can assure you of this: When we forwarded the message from this angry alumnus to Columbia University, that message was heard loud and clear!
