I know that your indicator is probably proprietary, but can you give some clues as to what components made it fall off a cliff in 1974 and again in 1978? I'm looking to find what early warning indicators might be out there that 2007 is turning into a repeat of the 1974 experience for gold. What made it plunge in 1973 in particular? It seemed to precede (if only shortly) much of the 1974 trouble.

Clearly, because this indicator isn't falling nearly as rapidly as the 1970s, something is different in 2007 - so far anyways.
