My daughter read about the approaching debt limit in the paper before I did and brought it to my attention. She's only 20 and thought it was serious.

Inflation (and tax bracket creep) are usually the politicians' FAVORITE TAX.

(The kind of 'secret tax' that raises revenue for the government, but that doesn't require the pols to ever have to record a vote 'for' a tax.)
