i thought about it too. however, i tend to let cell phone run down or it runs down too fast. I pay $12mo for land line. it is basic phone and that includes all taxes. I pay by the call outgoing at a rate of 6 cents , i think , and i get a credit up to $2.00 or so on out going calls included . so i can make several outgoing calls a month without charge. I hardly ever answer land line, cold calls, political calls , etc go to land line. family, doctors, close friends all have my cell phone. All long distance calls and outgoing calls are made on my cell phone which i never go over the monthly usage allowance.

so i continue to debate do i get rid of land line,, or keep it for back up.
