I think that as long as Apple continues to innovate on the hardware side, Amazon's entry into this market only helps them. They make the money on razors, not the blades.

Although Apple makes good money on the hardware the whole point of the iPod was to generate iTunes sales. The hardware is useless without the content to go on it.

Amazon selling content that works on every player is a big positive for Amazon music. Their unboxed service was a joke and selling music that doesn't function on a player that has 70% market share would be silly.

Unlike clean I think the opposite. The whole point of iTunes is to lock in iPod sales.

Therefore I think its a negative.
