I probably shouldn't say this, but I almost wish somebody would steal my Alpine system, so I would have an excuse to replace it with the later model. Though I haven't seen it, I've been told that the iPod interface is a huge improvement. Much like using the iPod itself.

I agree that an iPod connection is a necessity in a car. Especially for long trips. Fortunately, they are offered by most of the major carmakers now.
