i just couldn't resist. small village, short supply, large demand. Happy wasn't available, so I took my chances with one of the other six. my best friend in grad school was a postdoc from vietnam. he worked his tail off at a food processing plant, and managed to get himself into a Ph.D. program in toulouse, later meeting up with him in USA. guy is half serious when he says he wants to earn enough money to buy himself a seat in the government, and do good things! he has a specific number in mind, so i believe his plan is well thought out.... i wish him well.
