Your "discussion" with CB is a bit silly because you are using the same word to mean different things, then debating who is right.
CB is using "culture" to mean those things like making sushi or eating whales, which have no relationship to DNA other than in the need to eat and a taste for meat, grain etc. You will have trouble getting a rabbit to pay a lot for whale meat to eat, so there is some genetic component there.
Japanese eat whales and New Zealanders don't, not because of DNA differences but because of cultural differences.
But plenty of things which are called cultural have a strong DNA bias. For example, the propensity of humans to be monogamous is founded in DNA, as is their propensity to be polygamous. There is creative tension in the process.
You see the same monogamous behaviour in ducks. At Waitakere Golf Course, we have lots of ducks drakes and ducklings at the right time of year. What they do is genetic mostly, with not a lot of creative genius in individualistic cultures.
The most successful families comprise Mr and Mrs Duck and 12 ducklings, all of whom survive. Many comprise Mrs Duck and a dozen ducklings, but only half a dozen a week later [Mr Drake shirking his duties, going off to play golf or something]. One sad case was a cross-breeding duck and drake from a different species. Her two ducklings died.
Since "good DNA" means "is currently alive [and preferably in profusion]" by definition of laws of survival as dictated by nature, it's fair to say that as humans go, Chinese DNA is okay stuff. By comparison, Yangtze dolphins don't have good DNA.
However, in a more detailed analysis, Chinese DNA is highly defective and they need a LOT of eugenics to tidy up the mess.
Chinese DNA is a cess pool with some good bits floating in it.
Fortunately, the process of cleaning it up is continuing apace. But the process needs turbocharging with CDNA [cyber deoxyribonucleic acid], CDMA [code division multiple access] and OFDM [orthogonal frequency division multiplexing].
At present, women are taking on the main burden of the job, working manfully [so to speak] to sort the wheat from the chaff. For many thousands of years, they have been selecting the better specimens of manhood to produce the next generation.
Some blokes get frustrated at losing the competition and decide to improve their chances of being selected by killing off the competitors. So Genghis Khan went rampaging hither, yon and beyond, polluting the planet with his megalomaniac seed.
In his day, he was successful because that was the way it was. Hacking and killing opposition is still Islamic Jihad style, though they have overlaid an ideological aspect to their DNA-based behaviour, telling themselves their murderous ways are for Allah [which of course is self-serving nonsense].
But nowadays, there is a new realm of voluntary consent among consenting adults for trade and mating rights. The DNA that works like that is most successful. The testosterone-fueled muscular murderer DNA is being filtered out, making way for the new DNA = blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the Earth. [I am an atheist, but some ideas are right even if they have been enunciated by dubious sources]
Women [and you have probably noticed this, in person] do NOT simply mate with any passing bloke who fancies them. Blokes are more keen to bless any lady with their presence if she shows an interest than ladies are to throw themselves on any passing bloke. Women are as selective as they can be.
Women want the alpha male and men want the women [all of them].
When a niece was trying to get a mob scene for a film she was working on, another niece said "Tell the girls there is going to be a rock star there and tell the guys that there are going to be lots of girls there". I thought that was quite funny.
With genetic engineering, aka CDNA [TM], women will be able to tick the boxes they want:
1 IQ 180
2 Eliminate cystic fibrosis
3 ASTM 5 melanin level [excellent for sun protection]
4 Vitamin C synthesis [it's a common deficiency and most mammals produce their own]
5 No baldness [use Chinese DNA for hair - nice thick head protection against bummping, sun and cold in winter]
6 1 metre tall [cheap accommodation and cheap airfares on "Lilliput airline" which could carry 2000 people easily]
7 Eliminate swarms of recessive destructive DNA which is only being eliminated as each victim meets their doom when they get the short straw.
8 etc...
That horrible mess of Chinese DNA would then be improved.
The average Chinese intelligence is not quite 100. Imagine that! 1.3bn stuck in IQ 100 zone and their verbal intelligence is particularly low. But they are better in other aspects of "g".
That is excellent progress from chimpanzee levels, but that has been a million year effort involving vast suffering and rejection by ladies wanting more than a knuckle dragging hairy back [some of us wear shirts to conceal remnants of our chimpoid antecedents and to fool the ladies into thinking we are worthy].
Now, with CDNA, we can make vast progress quickly. Women won't have to guess what foul DNA lurks in their potential partners. CDNA will sort it out and enable them to get it right first time.
With CDNA, CDMA, OFDM and gene chip arrays, progress could be phenomenal.
China is stuck in chimpoid hairy-back mode with IQ about 100, using 20th century cellphones based on TDMA. They are going up a blind alley with TD-SCDMA [which will be like the sad cross-bred offspring of the duck who got the wrong drake].
Save China TJ. Make that call! Hu Jintao might be grateful that he can do something useful.
But he might be polluted with Genghis DNA, which is obviously closely related to King George II DNA, as Hu seems keen to go attacking the blokes in Taiwan. Hu does look quite like a chimp. So does King George II.
