i am guessing that timberland management is good, care for their brand, designed well, specified properly, supervised correctly, qc inspected as called for, and so i got a nice jacket

The company was founded by a couple of American Jews who early on [late 80s, early 90s] made truly wonderful stuff, almost bespoke quality. It naturally got big, had some growing pains and problems, and now is a worldwide mass maker. Don't know much about present status but remember well when they were essentially artisans.

I think I'll go fondle my jacket. vbg

OT the only leather jacket I ever own, was bought in Indonesia dirty cheap after Rupiah collapsed in 1998. (I have it here) Now I am going to buy a second here in Iran. They say Mashad leather is one of the best. they do sheep, goat, bovine and ostrich.

Perhaps your Turkey leather jacket was made with Iranian leather.

Waitn got get cold here to go buy it.
