I like most of his work, except for the stuff with Gil Evans, which was overblown orchestrally. His weaknesses as an instrumentalist are highlighted on "Sketches From Spain."

"It's About that Time" was my favorite that Miles composed, himself. I liked "Bitches Brew" and "Miles Smiles" albums. I'm the only guy I know who liked both. <G> I don't know anyone who doesn't like "Kind of Blue." Of course, you go into a recording with Coltrane, Cannonball and Bill Evans, you have a good start without even picking a tune.

Some of his later stuff could have used some editing.
