I would like to thank Rambi and JDN for their thoughtful comments as well. Gold, thank you for the succinct listing of changes to the status of the granting of voting rights to the citizenry. I apologize for not responding to you in a timely manner.

Nevertheless, we are now seeing the results of granting voting rights to people who are now exercising those rights to vote for people who will give them things. The People who have a vested interest in the country by virtue of ownership are by an large pay the greatest % of the taxes that support both the local, state and federal governments.

As for the disenfranchisement of the non property owners, if they are takers, I care about them on a personal level but I do not wish to turn over the management of the government to people who would pander to them. Look at where the money gets spent and which politicians are essentially buying there votes by the programs they sponsor and vote for.

The Property ownership is not bigoted, sexist or any other ist. It simply says you care of enough about where you live to be best suited to responsibly choose who runs the government in your area.
