we had a team of like 8-9 year olds baseball, machine pitch. We had one girl who just could not hit. After two strikes she would miss by a mile and my assistant coach and I would yell foul ball or she tipped it. this would go on until she got tired or hit it(which was only about 4 times all season)

Well one game after the 2nd"she tipped it' a mother from the other team came down screaming "the little bytch struck out, get her out of there' It was amazing.

LOL! And yes, we would have had a great time on the benches. I let my hubby deal with the coaches, and he did. We really tried to teach our kids the Golden Rule, and they all remember that. And we both felt that until they were in the 8th grade, they were learning team work...and it wasn't about "being a Star".... By the time they got to High School, they hopefully had learned about teamwork and team spirit, and went on to do the best job they could. And win wherever possible....<ggg>

Two of our three boys were on Varsity Football and on the Soccer team at the same time for a couple of years. That was just so much fun to watch (one a Center, and the other a Running Back)....even though sometimes I was scared to watch them....The older one set some HS records....I should someday go check to see if his records still stand.
