None of those you mentioned have had the influence on human misery that Luther, Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot had. Therefore I call them class AAA criminals.

As to burning books, no. As to taking the consequences of one's publications, yes.

Most historians and philosophers who write about the "giants of their and former times" recognize and discuss their weaknesses. In the case of Christians in general and specifically Luther one finds little analysis of Luther's and Christian responsibility for the Holocaust, Israel, and anti-semitism in connection with the present debate on terrorism.
