I said more repressive and in taliban case much more repressive. Its just not that different in philosophy from orthodox brands of other religions. Do ortho jewish women feel repressed. I dont think so. So why is it so hard to believe that at least some Moslem women are OK with what we in the liberal west consider repressive. I am not dumb and know iran has been going in the wrong direction in recent years. But prior to this, iranian mullah policy toward women was benign neglect and considered liberal in the muslim world.
