Also did you notice that many of those stories in that first website are months apart and nothing was posted in the last month,

As usual you are the master of fallacious logic.

That website updates the status every few months. The frequency of news updates has nothing to do with the accuracy of the information. And as usual you ignored the reports of hundreds of trials and deployments, despite the fact that the website reports only the most significant reports.

In USA, Sprint and Clearwire have carved up USA, and jointly have the licensed spectrum.Sprint will be bringing WiMax to 60% of USA, and mostly in metropolitan areas.New York City just got service a short time ago, and most of the metropolitan areas will have it within a year. Clearwire has the rest of the country. Other third parties do not matter, because they do not have the licensed spectrum.Unlicensed spectrum users are limited to low power levels, and thus do not have the range. It may not make economic sense for them at todays cost of hardware, but it will become easier for them as hardware costs drop. Nokia contributed its intellectual property to help in using existing cellular towers and infrastructure to transmit WiMax and reduce the cost of deployment.

I invested in Cellular phone industry in the 80's and was ridiculed. I had the last laugh a few years later.

I am heavily into WiMax, and will be investing more. I put my money where my mouth is. Do you ?
