The original statement was made from the woman's perspective.

The reproductive strategies of alpha males don't tend to benefit the women, although Mq would argue otherwise, no doubt.

Having alpha children might be beneficial, no doubt.

But I would argue that for a woman, being a wife rather than a passing fancy is more beneficial.
