As far as I know, demand still outstrips supply for quality housing in Asia, and the current boom is more of the latter case you mentioned. I have no doubt there will be cycles but the inexorable trend of long-term population and economic growth pretty much drives itself nowadays.

I would love to see some contrary views to that, however, if you find any.
