oops I stand corrected. At first I said there were not shortages but I was wrong. Looks like the LED is delaying the 15-inch models.

Paul did you get the 15 or 17" MBP? If its the 17" then no shortages but the 15" has a few.

Component shortage delaying sales.

Component shortages are limiting sales of iMac and MacBook Pro models, and Apple's new Bluetooth wireless keyboard is also feeling the heat. Although the cause of the Bluetooth keyboard delay isn't known, if you configured your Mac with one you'll see almost a month delay for the entire order.

The largest order backlog is fron the 15-inch MacBook Pro, most likely resulting from a shortage of the system's LED backlight display.

If you're looking at the 17-inch MacBook Pro, you're in no trouble. The 17-inchers are seeing no delays.

iMac was seeing a significant component shortage last month, with delays as long as two weeks. However, seems to be improving this month, moderately reliable coverage.

As far as the new iPods are concerned, the iPod Touch will be the model facing the largest supply issue. iPod Nanos and the new iPod classic should be available at most retail locations.
