However I am no copper-nickel expert, so must make a massive caveat here. But with Cu-Ni, komatiitic deposits dominate in terms of shear numbers (relatively commmon occurences, but generally don't make much of a deposit (too small, low grade, not significant PGE's). It is the rare situations like the meteor impact in sulphide-rich rocks at Sudbury or the Norilsk deposits due to large quantities of sulphide-rich rock being digested by large volumes of magma, where you get truly anomalous situations and very rich ore bodies That being said there is no way this is like Sudbury or Norilsk. The Lynn Lake orebodies were pipelike, remobilized to some degree, locally high grade and occurred in relatively small mafic/ultrmafic intrusions. However, the only evidence thus far of anything out of the ordinary is one spectacular hole, and a few other pretty good ones. Spidey senses are tingling for some reason though. Also agree with Claude that market cap has run way ahead here, but investors still have confidence in the Canadian jurisdiction as a location for developing orebodies, despite some difficulties with native and provincial governments. The labs are impossibly backed up, so there will be long news lulls...share prices will come back to earth. Also like the fact that the play here is pretty simple...so far we are not dealing with anomlaous values alteration haloes/ faults and battleship hits and misses along a longitudinal section...Its either granite or ore pretty much....My main premise here is that if the early drilling misses (holes 3,4 and 6) are due to drilling angled holes at a plunging tube shaped ore body, which is quite possible, Noront should now start hitting ore IF ITS THERE with most holes as they move deeper and to the west (Think Kirkland Lake!) Also remember Noront has some other projects/assets that can now be financed or spun off if Double Eagle continues its success. WC
