Not sure how badly I feel for them.

It has been obvious since 2000 that the US is being managed by incompetent fools.

After witnessing the serial debacles that have visited us during the reign of George the Idiot, for anyone to assume that somehow our financial regulation house was in order is at best contributory negligence....

Interesting, in that Canada doesn't allow subprime products to be issued to the public, but those entities you mentioned sure bought a lot of that toxic crap from US.
Does anyone other than a very few of us understand the meaning of VaR??
