Snow, history lasts longer than 50 years. History didn't end yesterday and Taiwan has another chance tomorrow to do what it likes.

Maybe the USA will be happy to see China expand, like Adolf expanded - it was just the Czechs and Poles; a bit of lebensraum. Maybe King George II's replacement will appease them. Condoleezza Rice isn't acting amused about China's support for the Myanmar murders.

It does seem quite psycho for Hu to get his tits in a tangle over Taiwan being independent. But that's megalomaniacs for you.
