What did you buy???

The usual; food, liquor, one tank of gas, six dinners out at the usual places. The big increase was food and we bought nothing unusual there.

We put almost everything over a dollar or two on credit cards, remove any unusual buys, and compare the same period YoY for real inflation. We also don't count months with vacations in the comparisons.

Generally, inflation here has been 7-8 per cent but food made a big jump in August.
