That is the crux as I see it also except I would venture 'might not'. My bet is that others will come in to pick up the slack.. We are witnessing history here. A transition of economic power.

BTW, I am not in the end of the world camp for the US.. (The US is not Rome) but it's re-balancing time... Not new thinking for me...

Along those lines, the price of gold is actually down over the past year in Canadian dollars. Much of these commodity price increases is actually a decline in the United Statian dollar in which they are priced.
