I've hit my financial target two years early, so I'm playing a little more cautiously with cash still on hand. There is a definite change in mentality for most of us as accounts grow from trading stakes up to serious money. I didn't buy much at the lows since my brain had kicked into "capital preservation" mode instead of "time to double down and swing for the fences". Newer investors benefit from the ability to take bigger chances with smaller amounts. The grizzled crowd gets to enjoy the benefits of compounding portfolios over time, and benefiting from the results.
