Lizzie, I have nothing but the highest admiration for you. Since I don't know you from Eve, it could not be otherwise.

I almost never short internet or other high p/e stocks. Can't remember the last time I did. Looking at my trading log for this week, I traded GOOG, BIDU, RIMM and a number of high p/e (some nil p/e) Chinese stocks, all from the long side. And quite successfully, thanks. The few shorts were financial related.

I'll concede I have no high p/e stocks in my portfolio. My portfolio and my trading accounts are in different corrals, rigidly separated.

To each his/her own. And you shouldn't make assumptions. Good traders don't.
