Gus > US remains opposed to Iran-India gas pipeline: Rice

Very interesting and it clearly supports your contention that the situation in Myanmar is linked to the supply of gas to India.

Of course, if India gets its gas from Myanmar rather than Iran, China will be forced to obtain what it formerly received from Myanmar from Iran. In the circumstances, I don't think it will be easy for the US to blockade tankers going from Iran to China. The US could try it, no doubt Lantos and Ros Leitenen would pass legislation in the Congress that they should, but I doubt China would let them get away with it.
