At newegg, which I think is representative of the white box portion of AMD customers

Therein lies your problem...not even in the top 25 of sources
if I had to estimate. Look in Computer Reseller News (crn.com)
for the annual list of distributors to get a feel from where
they source product.

White box builders of any significance do not order from
Newegg (or other web storefronts) as their primary source.
My company never needed to order from webstore fronts.
We ordered from distribution (Ingram, Tech Data and others).

Newegg is retail, not white box...

Whitebox have direct connections into the channel that Newegg as well purchases from. So they can get it cheaper than purchasing it off of Newegg if they do any volume.

I would not consider Newegg as a datapoint for anything than the diy market of consumers which the current barcelonas are not built or marketed for...
