exactly, a Macbook can't really be any better or worse quality wise because they are all built at the same CMs. The only way apple can improve on quality is with software quality or component/parts at the onset (like, for example choosing a quality keyboard and not one of those cheap Dell rattling things). But in terms of motherboard etc, they are all the same with razor thin margins.

Don,

The reason Apple gets better results in polls is more about "the cult" is better and more dedicated to responding and praising their own than anyone else. Cult 101

Of Course! I'm a cult member and have never denied it. I've taken cult 410. I'm of like mind with the cult, but I don't praise them - I praise the Mac.

I'm not really against Windows. I just don't like working in it and XP is just a plain ugly environment to work in. Vista appears to be much nicer - but it doesn't work well. OSX works well and is a pleasant environment to work in - and Leopard looks to be even better.

A lot of my gripes with Microsoft software are with Office. Graphics in PowerPoint or Word is much like throwing mud against a wall.

I appreciate a pleasant environment that works well. Don't you?

Jeff

Don -

That's an interesting theory. I don't suppose you can support it with anything other than your own biases, but it's interesting.
