Forget the options stuff, even people who admire Jobs say he is an arrogant bastard.

This is an important part of Jobs' personality and hence a part of the reason to own or not own Apple.

I've criticized him for this myself. He got caught parking in the handicapped parking spot at Apple. He was also known for dressing down inferior employees, causing talent to flee. He's somewhat of a jerk.

But he's mellowed with time IMHO.

AND part of his arrogance is the desire to be the best. Over time I think this is a positive in that he is reluctant to let designers follow their instincts if he sees the result as not profitable. This is a change for him. The old Apple was LAX. This is balanced by his new found knowledge that designers have to have some leeway to explore new ideas. This is also a change for him, I doubt he humiliates talent very often these days.

I think Jobs is that BEST at balancing that. That is 50% of why I put my money into Apple. I put it there because I don't think many people understand that is a huge value of Apple that is overlooked, therefor I know something the average investor doesn't know but will eventually know causing the stock price to run up.

I certainly don't want "Mr. Nice Guy" running a corporation that I'm invested in.
