True enough, where we have any manufacturing left. And as China and India and a few other economies grow, they will be in a better position to compete for higher prices in raw materials. Long run - like very long run - the U.S. will not be able to keep up, as only strongly improving economies will be able to pay for inflation out of improving productivity. Eventually there will not be enough raw materials on the planet to sustain the growth curves some of these nations are experiencing.
