300K for one kid. Krikey, I'd heard the excited states was expensive, but are those costs included in the CPI? Ivy League... Is outa my league. I can see why you need to pick up a few extra bucks playing poker. My kids are done college now, but it didn't cost nearly that much. CD

300K! OUCH! Sometimes I complained about the Canadian and Provincial governments but maybe I shouldn't. In Canada you'll never get near that kind of expenses for College. I play the market for fun (OK I admit, I play for an early retirement)but in your case it's a matter of survival of the species... « have to buy them a house» I guess my death would help them a bit but I hope my early retirement prevents this fate.. Man, good luck on your options swing trades... :-)) P>

I believe it is in a countries interest to guarantee a college education for everyone, just like high school. That is something we certainly agree upon. It is a perfect example of what the public good is supposed to be. I got to say that I do not have the same covered if I lived in the US presently. I have some pretty strong views on education. I guess the problem would be quality and we'd get into the whole discussion of a two tiered system... I'll leave health care for another day :O)
