Pearle advocating the overthrow of Saddam to senior people in Israel's is well documented long before 9/11. Advocating the same in the U.S. as part of the influential Defense Policy Board is also well documented. The fact that he was an idiot about how the war would actually go and what impact it would have on both Israel and the U.S. says nothing about whether he and the other neocons lead the charge and where their loyalties were.
