Whew, thanks! It's like pulling teeth with you sometimes....

BTW - why do u pick on Islam ? I gave u 2 examples - 1 where a hindu married a muslim person, the other where a hindu married a christian person. both in my family.

I don't mean to pick on Islam, I hardly know anything about the religious beliefs of Muslims other than they gotta pray 5 times a day, gotta get themselves to Mecca at some point if they can, and their various other 5 pillars. But I can't think of any other religions where (in some parts of the world) unmarried couples have to hide their relationship due to fear. A Muslim girl who tells her parents that she is going to marry a non-Muslim (much less a Jew!) is in line for a lot of danger (including death) in many parts of the world. It's unheard of in Christianity and Judaeism as far as I know. No idea what happens amongst young Hindus on this topic, so thanks for (finally) sharing your point of view.
