Since the Bush administration has designated 2012 as the final date for hospitals in the US to go paperless, I would guess that Hospital software and hardware suppliers would begin ramping up. Since I no longer have much exposure as to what is going on, I must rely on what I read. I know that all of the VA Hospitals are now paperless. They still have to digitize smart cards of some sort.
