<Gold, Dollar, Oil, Wheat, Iran, Subprime, Inflation >

Every one of those except for Subprime is a positive for stock prices, you do understand that? Repeat after me - inflation is GOOD for stock prices. Seriously, the only thing better than low inflation with low interest rates is high inflation with low interest rates.

Now if I can just figure out how the F to invest in a high inflation low interest rate environment. I hate trying to figure out how to value and buy nonproductive assets like gold and commodities. They don't inherently produce anything or generate any cash flow stream to value them on. I guess I can at least try to buy stocks that benefit from them.

I've spent ***so*** much time trying to get positioned for a market decline driven by the housing bust recession, but if the Fed is going to destroy the dollar, this will look more like 1972-74 than 1929-33. Didn't think they could fight mother nature like this (seriously, how f*ing high can the Euro and the emerging market currencies go?!?), but it's taken on a high enough probability that I need to shift a fair chunk of capital into this theme.

There has to be something beyond any logic for this latest run. Who is putting their money in a time like this.

We do have public participation per NYSE stats (the brown/burgundy line) - the dips continue to be bought:
