John,

Who knows? Nobody thought Kerry would get the nomination on '04 until after Iowa. And Obama is leading Iowa. I don't know the current polls in New Hampshire.

Anything can happen, but my guess is that it to win, experience of being in the trenches helps. Hillary was there, in a sense, with Clinton. On the Republican side, Giuliani has been there.

As for Guly (his new nickname, you heard it here first) there is probably a skeleton in a closet somewhere that might show up. It will be Mitt by a nose.

There are a plenty of skeletons that are already known to be there for Giuliani (next to his drag outfit). And it has not sunk his campaign for a lot more discriminating GOP voters...

Joe

Of course, Kerry wasn't even leading Iowa going into Iowa...

I can't imagine the religious right going for a guy who dresses in drag. Its more likely they will start their own party and I don't think GOP leaders want that to happen. That leaves Mitt who I think is one of the more dangerous candidates in this upcoming election.
