"While you love to accuse others of being bigots you might try looking at the mirror. "

Not true Peter. What you call an accusation is simple honesty. You go out of your way to find excuses for your hatred of Muslims. You live in America where millions of Muslims live but you go to history or remote regions of the world, even interpreting their doctrine in ways most Muslims would find repulsive, to find examples to justify your hatred of Muslims. And you generalize that view point in blanket fashion. That is bigotry, taboo as the word may be.

"In my case your definition of bigot is "one who expects others to behave civilly".

Good for you. Internalize that sentiment and we might see more eye to eye, otherwise you will continue to find your expectation is founded on unrealistic pragmatics. You don't have control over what others believe or think. You have little control over what others do. 98% of human beings will conduct themselves in bad ways when they believe they will never be caught and we can be the police over only so much. The world is not going to change, at least by conventional means, so expect your fellow human beings to continue in their incivility. You probably think corporate America is an example of civility. Oh well. It would give you some peace if you were to stop trying to find scape goats for all that (Muslims) but I suspect you have loyalty to some dogma that forbids you taking such a tolerant position.
