"PS - the first one to mention Wayne Newton goes back in the sewer."

My wife says Wayne Newton will get voted off Dancing with the Stars tonight.

"Let's discuss Mother Theresa."

OK. Never met her though.....

"Do you think she really had doubts on her deathbed ?"

I don't know about her 'death bed' but --- judging from her journals --- it does seem that she wrestled with Faith/No Faith (in common with many famous religious thinkers, I've heard) for most of her life.

To me that sounds a note of authenticity and moral worth, Webster....

"Let's discuss Mother Theresa. Do you think she really had doubts on her deathbed ? Maybe if she had to do it all over again, Vegas wouldn't have been a bad life."

Rather doubt that she had doubts on her deathbed. There is something rather peaceful and final as a person crosses over---an acceptance of what is to be and what has been.

Coming up on the anniversary of my father's death----quite an experience in the last few months-----six months of life review, apologies and clearing. He did it all with such dignity.

And now I am going back to the gutter and watch guess who----WN-----now see I did not say his name.

Actually I have thought about this chatter that we all do on these political sites------some of it is rather absurb. When I read some of this, I think of Bret Harte's "Outcast of Poker Flats"

Although the chatter is absurb sometimes, its part of life as it is today.
