So CO2 drives warming but commences after the warming starts.

And "the warming takes about 5000 years". I notice the chart in Laurie's book shows warmings that clearly last much longer than 5000 years. In fact its difficult to detect movements of anything that last only 5000 years since the chart covers 650K years.
