That's a myth. I saw it busted on Mythbusters Yes - I saw that too. However, a bullet will go through windows, hydraulic lines, fuel tanks and flight control cables with little to stop them not to mention the passengers. The Taser is a very safe, yet effective, in flight alternative which does not require the same level of training or present the same collateral issues of real firearms. Easy enough even a caveman, err a Steward can use them. :-)
