Federal funds, ha!

Give us [the Independent Republic of South Louisiana] all the severance taxes from offshore oil and let us charge the fees that use of the Port really are worth, and we could say good riddance to federal funds, most of which are mismanaged anyway, everywhere not just here.

Don't give a hoot in hell about Vermont anymore than Vt.,or any other state except for perhaps Texas, gives a hoot about us.

Not much of an industrial base in Vermont. They do make the DR Chipper up there, and I think there is an outfit that makes cartop ski racks (Barrecrafters?). Good cheese, of course.

Doubt they'd make much of a go of it on their own.

Hard for me to believe I lived there 7 years.
