"What is the equivalency?"

In ENGLISH?

The words "Betray Us" (should be 'copy write - Rush'. :-)

He introduced the phrase to the political arena this year.

"BEFORE he ever uttered a word to Congress...."

(Still, 'ya gotta admit, the guy has been PLENTY public with lots of his words before --- including the full page ad he took out right before the last election endorsing the reelection of George Bush, and his several op-ed pieces early this year about the 'success' in Iraq. The good General has been a bit of a 'political General' for a while now, perhaps even a bit of an 'apple polisher'... after Dubbya has prematurely retired/forced out/shit-canned SEVERAL highly placed Generals [since even *before* the war officially began....] who did not seem to agree with his 'Neo-Con-ish' approach to the region and occupying Iraq. So, perhaps the Good General has *lots* of valid reasons to want to line up with the WH.... Folks in G.O.P. circles HAVE begun talking about him as a possible candidate in 2012... And, some insiders say he is open to such talk....)

"Rush's comment was directed at a grandstanding, hotair-filled gas bag politician...."

Or, you could say "one of the Grand Old Party's senior foreign policy experts of long-standing" I guess.

(It's all in where you are coming from.)

Still, "XXX-Betray Us" is a Rushism.
