I did seriously consider dumping the lot at $11

That's almost the price I shorted it at? Just think, you could have sold and taken a nice short position at $11? Of course, that wouldn't have been as much fun.

At $6, I'm in for the ride further down the trail, or slippery slope, whichever it is. Slippery slope so far.

And at $1 will you claim you wish you had sold at $6? But, then opine that at $1 that you are in for the ride further down the trail??

29 cents here we come.

History seems to have a habit of repeating itself.

Starting again with no customers isn't good.

Here's a bit of an unorthodox hedge for you. If you really believe that they will pull this one out of the "flat spin". Then here is one suggestion. Take you Tonka Truck and start buying all of the Globalstar phones on EBAY. (Typical price is about $120.)

When they get the new constellation back up and running. You should easily be able to Triple you money. I did this with a couple of dozen Iridium handsets when the announced they were going to de-orbit the constellation. I picked up a couple dozen new/almost new 9500's for $110 each. I resold them for about $700 when it was bought out of liquidation. I was reasonably sure that the DOD was not going to let it de-orbit.

Of course, I personally don't think the "flat spin" @ Globalstar is recoverable... Hence you would just end up with a bunch of worthless Qualcomm Satellite phones. But, it you really think it's going to make it. I can tell you that you can easily triple your money.

And so it goes,
