Very easily identified these days I was referring to the individuals not collectives. Anyway, the groups mentioned above may have been something of a revelation 30 yrs ago when we first heard about them but today I would contend they are merely collections of elites many of whom, and as the article implies, do not even get on with the others. Hence I do not agree with the neo-socialists, Naom Chomsky and Naomi Klein, that capitalism and capitalists generally are behind all the evil we see in the world today. As far as I am concerned, Zionism is behind the US War on Terrorism and the current US interventions in the Mid East. Indeed, the motive for a Greater Israel / US empire in the Mid East has been spelled out in the two main neocon policy documents, A Clean Break - Securing the Realm and the Project For a New American Century (PNAC). Thus I also believe that the implementation of this policy is the reason behind 9/11 and, if there is a war with Iran, it will also be in furtherance of this agenda. Re the dissension between various elites referred to above, consider the Baker Iraq Study Group whose findings were completely unacceptable to the neocons and hence the report was rejected by the Bush administration.en.wikipedia.org >>... phased withdrawal of US combat forces from Iraq and direct US dialogue with Syria and Iran over Iraq and the Middle East. The Iraq Study Group also found that the Pentagon has underreported significantly the extent of the violence in Iraq and that officials have obtained little information regarding the source of these attacks. The group further described the situation in Afghanistan as so disastrous that they may need to divert troops from Iraq in order to help stabilize the country.<<
