at all costs keep dishwashing detergent off of your cast iron cookware....

kosher salt makes a wonderful cleaner that doesn't remove the 'seasoning' of a cast iron pan

it takes a bit of work, but you absolutely cannot beat a well seasoned cast iron skillet for grilling fish and meats

oh and btw....

cast iron cookware is extremely REASONABLE in cost

i own a complete set of <expensive> all clad stainless cookware, but wouldn't THINK of using it for grilling
