And you knew back then in advance that kissinger had paved the way just like you know now that this could not have happened or happen now.

That's how diplomacy works. Leaders don't talk unless framework of the agreement has been laid out in advance. That's the job of the diplomats. Neither side's leaders want to stumble into a landmine because they are unprepared for the discussion. You are the one being silly.
