Lee you are right that people make bad decisions, and I have made my share. My all-time world-record best financial blunder was to back Globalstar. But I only destroyed my money, not everyone else's too.

In the Kremlin-style "we know best" socialist style, those who get themselves into power feather their own nests then waste mega$billions and even $trillions for the rest of us.

Also, I much prefer to make my own mistakes than have somebody rob me at gun-point then spend it on my behalf [but really on their behalf] on really dopey schemes which are not only inefficient but often counter-productive.

The domestic purposes benefit for example in New Zealand is designed to protect children [and their mothers]. In fact, it does the opposite and funds the terror, torture and death of many children and women. That's not what it was supposed to do, but that is the end result. Before welfare, all children were looked after [often via adoption]. Women were almost never brutalized and killed. Many children are made fatherless because the woman can ditch the old-man and take up with something more to her fancy. She has children as her meal-ticket. The children suffer.

Lee, thanks for your input, and I'm sorry about your bad times in small towns. But i guess what I was trying to say is Wal-Mart costs us jobs and a growing wage. Imagine all the products being imported from China, being produced here. So instead of Corporations making profits middle class America would be profiting and be safer.
